Sunny Lane School was opened in 2001 as an independent Primary School with just 12 pupils. Today it has expanded into a school with Primary and Secondary Departments catering for children from two and half to sixteen years of age; its numbers have risen to around 250 and its teachers to over 25. Sunny Lane School follows the English National Curriculum.

Girne American University is where children of all ages can receive an education - from the age of three through to the age eighteen and more. The GAU teaching standards have always been very highly thought of in North Cyprus. The school is offering the English National Curriculum from years One to Eight but combining it with the IAPS and Turkish National Ministry of Education Curriculum. The education will then be constructed to enable them to go on to take GCSEs, ASs, A-Levels and Baccalaureate exams but also to communicate and be literate in Turkish language.

North Cyprus Universities

Eastern Mediterranean UniversityEastern Mediterranean University (EMU) is one of the oldest established universities in North Cyprus. With nearly 15.000 students all over the world, EMU's educational quality is worth experiencing. EMU is located in famagusta - a student town which houses a number of entertainment places for students.

Near East UniversityNear East University (NEU) is another university offering comprehensive courses. The university attracts attention with its investments on student activities such as an olympic pool, a huge congress hall and a lot more. NEU is located in nicosia - the capital and yet is isolated from all the stress of the city.

Cyprus International UniversityCyprus International University (CIU) is a new establishment located on the road to famagusta from nicosia.
